Women's Tennis Drops Two in Rain-Altered Day

MILWAUKEE - The MSOE women's tennis team saw its plans for a quad on clay dashed due to weather but still got in a pair of matches indoors against Loras and Lake Forest Saturday afternoon at Elite Club River Glen.

The Raiders (0-3) fell to Loras 8-1 before a 5-0 defeat at the hands of the Foresters in the second match.

MSOE had several hard-fought match-ups up and down the lineup against Loras, scoring its lone win at No. 2 doubles, In that match, sophomores Katie Clements and Cierra Smith picked up their first joint win of the season, 8-6.

Freshman Hannah Marron came close to scoring another win for the Red & White, pushing her match at No. 2 singles to three sets.

The Raiders return to the courts Tuesday at Concordia Wisconsin in their league opener.
