NAPERVILLE, Ill. – A late surge from the MSOE women's volleyball team came up short as they fell to North Central College Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- North Central (7-2, 0-1 CCIW) came out firing in the first two sets, building up long leads and putting the momentum all on the home side. The Cardinals headed into set three, winning with 25-16 and 25-11 set victories.
- While the Cardinals built up an 11-3 to begin the third set, MSOE (3-7, 0-1 NACC) did not back down, continuing to battle back. A run sparked from an Ava Larson kill gave the Raiders their first huge momentum shift, taking a 21-20 lead, as the Raiders kept rolling to win 25-23 to force a fourth set.
- The Raiders continued to keep the offense going with a 6-0 started with a kill from Gillian McDaniel. The woes for the first two sets came back to haunt the Raiders are the Cardinals regained their stride late, taking the final set 25-21.
RAIDER REMARKS
- This is just the second time the Raiders and Cardinals have met, with the first meeting came back in 2015 at Benedictine. The Cardinals came out top, sweeping the Raiders 3-0.
