HOW IT HAPPENED
- 1:22 was played before the first points sank when Chase Cummings splashed a three to open the scoring for MSOE (5-5, 3-1 NACC). Back-to-back three from Redlands (8-1, 0-1 SCIAC) doubled their advantage, but Mason Dopirak nailed two straight jumpers to lead 7-6. The Bulldogs made their lead double-digits with 13:27 to go in the first half, making it as large as 19 six minutes later. A three from Matus Dopirak brought the deficit down to twelve a minute later and while the Bulldogs brought it back to 19, Ethan Johnson cut it two twelve yet again. A pair of free throws to end the half from the Bulldogs gave them a 57-43 advantage at the break.
- The narrowest the Raiders made their margin be in the second half was 13 after Cummings nailed a three with 16:47 to play, making it 61-48. With 15 minutes to play, the Bulldogs brought their lead to over 20, eclipsing their largest lead of the game of 24 with 12:27 to play. The Raiders went on a mini run with seven minutes to play as Mason knocked in back-to-back buckets from behind the arch and cummings laid one in to make it 86-70, but the margin continued to be too large to overcome.
