MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's basketball team ran away from Dominican University to kick off conference play with a victory. The Raiders shot 71.4 percent in the first half to run away early, along with five scorers in double figures with
Mason Dopirak leading the way with 24.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dominican (0-5, 0-1 NACC) tested MSOE (3-3, 1-0 NACC) early, jumping out to a five-point lead from the opening tip before Dopirak got his night started with a jumper to open the scoring. Ethan Johnson nailed a jumper in the post to give the Raiders a 6-5 lead, which kicked started a 12-0 run to make the leads double-digits 16-5. Chase Cummings nailed a three pointer to make it as large as 18 with 7:24 remaining in the first half before the Stars were able to cut into slightly as it was 45-32 at the break.
- The Stars were able to hang around to open the second half, not allowing the Raiders to get too far away. A long layup from Dopirak with 12:53 remaining put the lead in the 20s for the first time on the night 64-43 as he later extended it to 26 with 8:50 to go. Jace Paul made the lead 27 to cap off the night with under a minute to play to seal it.
