MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's basketball team put together a massive first half, shooting 55% from the field and 47% from three to notch their fifth straight conference victory as they defeated Edgewood University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (9-6, 7-1 NACC) built up their lead quickly after going on a 13-2 run to lead 20-9 just over five minutes in after Ethan Johnson hit a lay-in. After Matus Dopirak checked in and hit five points straight to lead by 14, Edgewood (1-13, 1-7 NACC) cut it down to to just an eight-point game with 8:52 to play in the first half. The Raiders then went on a tear, making an 18-3 run for a massive 49-26 lead before heading into half leading 56-31.
- The Raiders took their largest lead of the game after Chase Cummings knocked in a pair of free throws and a layup to lead by 29 coming out of the break. The Eagles cut it back down to under 20 with 15:10 to play before Isaac Wit hit one from long range to lead 76-49. Just as the Raiders thought the game was put out of range, the Eagles stormed all the way back, cutting it to as close as an eight-point game with 2:04 to play. Carson Cordelli and Mason Dopirak each hit free throws after the Raider defense held strong to seal the game.
