FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The MSOE baseball headed out to the Pacific Northwest to kick off the 2026 season, splitting with Pacific University as the jumped out to an early advantage in game one.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Game One
- MSOE (1-0, 0-0 NACC) struck first in the top of the third as Charlie Claas and Christian Bosque hit back-to-back doubles and AJ Le singled into center to lead 2-0. Pacific (2-7, 0-0 NWC) cut the deficit down to one with a run in the fourth but was answered in the top of the fifth as Bosque drove in Vance Kurokawa from second to make it 3-1.
- Zach Brzezinski escaped the bottom half of the fifth allowing just one run, getting out of a bases loaded situation as the Boxer made it 3-2. The Raiders would tact onto their lead in the seventh as Le scored Bosque on a single to center, making it 4-2. The Boxers continued to cut the deficit, scoring another run in the eight, but a three-inning save from JJ Jackson clinched the win, going three up three down in the final frame.
- Game Two
- The Boxers jumped out early in game two, scoring four in the second inning and then a run in each the third and fourth to take a 6-0 lead. The Raiders would get on the scoreboard in the fifth after Jake Franks raced around the bases to third on an error in the outfield, eventually coming home on a groundout from Robby Erickson. The Boxers weren't done yet, scoring three more in the sixth and then ended the game in the eighth on a home run.

The Raiders will take on Willamette University tomorrow on Linfield University's campus tomorrow, February 21
st, with first pitch set for 12:00 p.m. PT with game two to follow.
