GENEVA, Ill. – The MSOE men's hockey team dropped game one of the Harris Cup Playoffs to Aurora University Friday as the Spartans high flying offense couldn't be stopped.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Aurora (21-4-1, 13-4-1 NCHA) struck quickly, scoring just 4:44 in on the power play before adding goals at the 11:27 mark and 19:20 mark in the first period to head into the first break leading 3-0. MSOE (10-13-3, 7-8-3 NCHA) held the Spartans scoreless in the second period and evened the shot totals at ten with Adam Smith and Ethan Mann leading the charge with two apiece, but couldn't execute on any opportunities, still down three at the second intermission.
- Just 26 seconds into the third beginning, the Spartans struck again to increase their lead. The Spartans would continue run away with the game, scoring four times in the final ten minutes, with three coming on the power play.
