HOW IT HAPPENED
  • vs. Luther
    • Luther (2-7, 0-0 MWC) set the tone early with a 6-0 run to open before extending it to as large as 15-4. MSOE (5-2, 0-0 NACC) cut it down to seven after a kill from Emma Schattschneider but was too late as the Norse took the first set 25-16. Set two saw the two sides go back and forth until a 6-0 run from the Raiders, led by three kills from Ella Notheisen and a pair of aces from Brooke Fledderman, put them ahead 21-16. A kill from Lauren Kingston tied up the match as the Raiders took set two 25-21.
    • The Norse led 5-2 to begin set three but was wiped away after a 4-0 run from the Red & White, capped by a block from Kingston and Faith Bosshardt, to lead 11-9. The Norse took the lead back at the midway point but with the help of two aces from Notheisen put the Raiders back in the lead 20-15 and she killed set point to win 25-19. The Norse made a run in set four to try and a fifth set, leading 17-14 late. From there, the Raiders closed on an 11-2 run to seal the match, 25-19.
    • Schattschneider and Notheisen each racked up 16 kills, with Schattschneider adding in three aces and a pair of blocks and Notheisen adding 17 digs and five aces. Brenna Fledderman added three blocks defensively, while Katie Moser recorded 35 assists.
  • vs. Benedictine
    • The Raiders led from the jump but would get overtaken by Benedictine (4-5, 0-0 NACC) as they went on a 5-0 run to lead 9-6. The Raiders wouldn't get the lead back until 17-16, but the Eagles would get to set point first. The Raiders would get their own chance at set point but was ultimately taken by the Eagles, who rallied off the final three points to win 28-26.
    • The Raiders would grab their largest lead of the match at 16-11 after a kill from Lilly Mickelson, but that would put a fire into the Eagles, who took eight of the next ten points and take the lead 19-18. The Raiders got to set point first but like set one, the Eagles rallied off the final three points to win 26-24. The Eagles look the lead from jump street in set three and never looked back to win 25-19.
    • Sydney Emineth led the team with nine kills, with Alyssa Rusch and Genevive Robertson adding in five. Moser assisted on 14 kills, while Morgan Borchardt made eight and Bro. Fledderman had five.
