Box Score

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Senior Logan Andryk and sophomore Braden Andryk scored two goals apiece as the MSOE men's soccer team routed Concordia Chicago 7-2 Wednesday afternoon at Concordia Stadium.

The Raiders (13-4, 8-2 NACC) defeated the Cougars (6-11-1, 2-8 NACC) for their fourth-straight win and clinched a bye into the semifinals of the NACC Tournament.

They will host their semifinal match on Tuesday at 7 p.m. as the No. 2 seed against the highest-remaining seed to advance from the quarterfinals.

Each Andryk also had an assist in the match, which featured five different goal-scorers as MSOE built a 6-0 lead early in the second half.

Sophomore Gregory Borsari got the scoring opened in the 10th minute with a header off a Braden Andryk corner kick. That would be the game's only goal until a flood of three Red & White goals in just over eight minutes starting in the 31st minute.

Braden Andryk scored his first goal at that time off an assist from Logan Andryk. Senior Brock Shilling scored his fourth goal of the season just 2:11 later, before Logan Andryk scored off an assist from sophomore Sean Tabbert to make it 4-0 in the 39th minute.

After halftime, Logan Andryk made it 5-0 with his 17th goal of the season with help from senior Daniel Frey. Junior Andrew Sweicichowski scored the team's sixth goal, unassisted, just under five minutes later.

CUC would pull a goal back in the 71st minute, but Braden Andryk struck for his 19th goal of the season with help from Shilling to re-establish the six goal advantage.

The Raiders enjoyed a 24-10 shot advantage and 9-1 corner kick edge in the match, including 17-2 and 7-0, respectively, in the first half.

With five points today, Logan Andryk posted the second 50-point season in school history with 17 goals and 16 assists. Braden Andryk is now on 47 points this season with 19 goals and nine assists. The duo are first and second in the league in goals and points, and first and third in assists.
