Box Score MADISON, Wis. – Senior Logan Andryk broke the NACC career scoring record and sophomore Braden Andryk tallied a NACC-record five goals to lead the MSOE men's soccer team to a X-X rout over Edgewood Wednesday evening at Breese-Stevens Field.
Logan Andryk finished with a goal and five assists in the match, all in the first half, for 145 career points to break Matt Kochanowski's (Dominican) scoring mark of 142 points. Meanwhile, Braden Andryk was the recipient of three of those assists as he had his first career hat trick by the 24th minute.
Braden Andryk tied a NACC record with five goals in a match, equaling the mark of Benedictine's Nick Kapetanos set last season at Lakeland.
The Raiders (6-2, 1-0 NACC) were on fire early, outshooting the Eagles (2-5, 0-2 NACC) 19-0 as they built a 5-0 lead on Braden Andryk's fourth goal at 33:26 of the opening frame. The Red & White would strike for seven first-half goals. It outshot the hosts 21-1 with 13 shots on goal.
Sophomore Joe Oswald and senior Brock Schilling each added goals in the opening frame, with Oswald tallying his first collegiate score.
Braden Andryk got the scoring started in just the sixth minute off an assist from Logan. The elder Andryk then scored in the 18th minute, with Braden following with another goal 1:42 later and again in the 24th and 34th minutes. He then tallied his fifth in the 57th minute off an assist from sophomore Matt Rakowski.
MSOE took its foot off the gas in the second half, finishing the game with a 27-10 shot advantage for the match, with 14 shots on goal.
Junior Jeff Clement got the start in goal and earned the win with a scoreless first half. Freshman Riley Bruce played the second half and made one save.
The Raiders return to the field Saturday, hosting Concordia Wisconsin.
