MILWAUKEE – The doubles team of senior John Price and freshman David Chon opened a match with a victory for the second-straight day as the MSOE men's tennis team fell to Lawrence 7-2 Sunday afternoon at Elite Sports Club-River Glen.
Senior Tom Smith also posted a win in the match, scoring a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles.
Price and Chon moved to 2-0 on the season with an 8-6 in the No. 1 doubles position. Chon then pushed his singles match at No. 2 to three sets before falling. It was the second-straight day he played three sets as he seeks his first collegiate win. He rebounded from a 6-3 loss in the opening set to take the second 6-4. He then lost the tiebreaker 10-3.
The Raiders (0-2) return to action next Saturday with a pair of matches at Cornell College against the host Rams and Buena Vista.
