ADRIAN, Mich. – MSOE wrestling hit the mat for the first time this season in the duel format, taking on four different opponents at the Adrian Duels this past Saturday. Unfortunately, the Raiders will have to wait for another day to take home a victory over another institution, as they were defeated in each match.
RESULT
v. Ohio Northern – Loss 44-6
v. Central – Loss 51-0
v. Fontbonne – Loss 26-24
v. Alma – Loss 48-3
HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE only had one close competition this past weekend, and that was in a loss to Fontbonne during their third duel of the afternoon. MSOE grabbed 12 points automatically due to forfeits, but they also gave up that many due to not having a competitor waiting for their opponents in two separate weight classes. From there, it was just a matter of points that determined the outcome of the matchup. Jack Rathburn won via decision 8-2, earning three points. Drew Matticks (TF 16-0) added another four to the Red & White's total while Helton Vandenbush (MD 13-3) added five of his own, but Fontbonne earned just enough in their other matches to take the overall duel 26-24.

The Raiders will take the next couple of weeks off before hosting the 15th annual MSOE Invitational on Saturday, December 7th starting at 9:00 am.
