KENOSHA, Wis. – MSOE wrestling made the short trip south on I-94 to participate in the Carthage Duals on Friday afternoon. While the Raiders did not come away with any victories, several Raiders look ready to win at conference in two weeks.
RESULTS
vs. Augustana – Loss 30-18
vs. North Central (Ill.) – Loss 37-11
HOW IT HAPPENED
It was a tough day on the mats for MSOE (4-5, 4-5 CCIW) at the Carthage Duals. While they did not come away with a win against Augustana or North Central (Ill.), there were a few Raiders that improved on their already impressive seasons. Drew Matticks has yet to lose this year as he won his match against the Vikings via fall and downed his North Central opponent via technical fall. Helton Vandenbush was also undefeated on the day, earning wins via fall and a 3-1 decision. Ethan O'Linc and Caleb Brick were the other two Red and White grapplers with victories as they won by fall and 8-3 decision respectively.
WHAT'S ON DECK
This set of duals marked the end of the 2020-21 regular season for the Raiders. Next up will be the CCIW Championships, their last meet of the year. The Red & White will look to earn some conference titles on Saturday, February 13th.
