Box Score 1 |
Box Score 2 MADISON, Wis. – MSOE women's volleyball needed to get a sweep and some help to extend their season on Sunday when they faced off against the Eagles of Edgewood. While they were unable to make that happen, the Raiders did end their season on a positive note.
RESULTS

MSOE RAIDERS – 0 (23, 14, 8)
Edgewood – 3 (25, 25, 25)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Edgewood (3-8, 3-7 NACC North) could do no wrong in the first game and there wasn't much that MSOE (4-8, 2-6 NACC North) could do about it. The Eagles hit .380 as a team and had a first set in which they had 18 kills and no errors. The Raiders played solid in the first two frames, including the opening one where they had 16 kills of their own, but a third set in which they hit -.227 sealed their fate in the 3-0 loss to open the day.
Game two was a much different story. The Raiders hit .203 in the game, including a second set in which they attacked at a clip of .583. After dropping the first set to the Eagles, MSOE came back with dominating 25-13 and 25-10 victories to go up 2-1 in the contest. Edgewood would squeak by in a very close fourth set to set up the fifth and final stanza of the Raiders season. The Red & White went out on a high note, slamming home eight kills to win the game 15-11 and the match 3-2.
