Box Score MILWAUKEE – As the old saying goes, "nobody is perfect." Well, that was not the case on Thursday afternoon when No. 17 MSOE softball took on Alverno in a makeup from April 5th. Three different Raiders took the circle and all three did not allow a single baserunner as the Raiders turn in their first ever perfect game in program history.
RESULT (5-Innings)
Alverno – 0
#17 MSOE – 10
HOW IT HAPPENED
No. 17 MSOE (24-2, 11-1 NACC North) made history on Thursday against Alverno (1-19, 0-12 NACC North). Sarah Grossman, Lorrin Pondo, and Claire Doherty each took their turn in the circle and each one of them was perfect. The Inferno went 15 up and 15 down without a single ball going into play that would have threated the pristine line score. The offense made sure to take care of their side of things to help out their pitchers, scoring ten runs in just four innings. Jenna Trewyn led the charge with three hits and four RBIs. Grace Salaja stole three bags and scored three times while Grossman struck out six and Pondo got her 13th win of the year in the Raiders 10-0 victory.
