Box Score 3 KENOSHA, Wis. – MSOE women's volleyball brought a two-match winning streak into play this weekend when they made the short trek south to play in the Carthage Invitational. While their winning streak was snapped, the Raiders still had competitive showings and came away with a win after three matches over the course of play on Friday and Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs. No. 5 Carthage
- No. 5 Carthage (6-0) hit .298 throughout the match and had 13 more kills than MSOE (3-4) did over the course of three sets.
- Quinn Borchert continued her string of great performances, hitting .471 with eight kills against the Firebirds.
- Amanda Yackley led all players with 27 assists.
- vs. (RV) Bethel (Minn.)
- (RV) Bethel (7-1) did not have a frame in which they hit below .121. However, the Raiders gave them fits.
- The Red & White won their only set in extra points but pushed the Royals to the limit in their 23-25 third set defeat.
- Borchert and Italia Fields combined for 20 of MSOE's 43 kills and both Yackley and Emily Stratton had two aces each.
- vs. UW-Platteville
- The Raiders picked up their lone victory of the weekend in a five-set thriller against UW-Platteville (4-5). Each team went back and forth with set wins with the Red & White winning the first, third, and pivotal fifth and final frame.
- MSOE hit .231 and Borchert led all players with 15 kills.
- Yackley had 40 assists while Bekah Smith was the game leader with 20 digs.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will start up NACC play with their first ever conference game against St. Norbert on Wednesday at 4:00 pm. They will complete the tri-match with a contest against Ripon later that evening at 6:00 pm.
