Box Score MILWAUKEE – MSOE women's volleyball took on Edgewood this afternoon in the second of back-to-back game days. Unfortunately, a slow start doomed the Raiders as the Eagles took down the home team in straight sets.
RESULT
Edgewood – 3 (25, 25, 25)
MSOE RAIDERS – 0 (10, 18, 22)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- It seemed like nothing would go right for MSOE (2-11, 0-4 NACC) in the first set against Edgewood (8-7, 3-1 NACC). The Raiders managed just five kills compared to 14 for the Eagles in a 25-10 loss.
- The second frame saw the Red & White improve drastically and they hung with Edgewood until the middle parts of the game. Down by only two at 11-9, the Eagles proceeded to rattle off 14 of the last 23 points to go up 2-0 against MSOE.
- The upward trend of the Raiders gameplay continued in the third when they finally got into double digits in kills and hit .103. The Red & White actually led at 13-12 but Edgewood went on a 4-0 run to erase their deficit and would not relinquish the advantage from that point on. The Raiders made things interesting in the end but still fell 25-22 to close the match out in three sets.
RAIDER REMARKS
- The Raiders now move to 1-9 in their last ten games against Edgewood.
