WAUWATOSA, Wis. – MSOE women's volleyball was on the verge of winning their last match against Rockford on Saturday but couldn't quite secure the final set point to win the match. The same thing happened on Wednesday night as the Red & White saw a 2-0 lead slip away and had to settle for another 3-2 loss, this time to Wisconsin Lutheran on the road.

MSOE RAIDERS – 2 (27, 25, 21, 23, 13)
Wisconsin Lutheran – 3 (25, 15, 25, 25, 15)

HOW IT HAPPENED

• MSOE (3-19, 1-12 NACC) had a battle on their hands right from the start as the first frame set the tone for the entire match. The Raiders were able to hold off Wisconsin Lutheran (10-10, 7-6 NACC) and their 18 kills with 10 of their own in a 27-25 extra points opening win.
• Victory was in sight for the Red & White as the team took a commanding 2-0 lead after hitting .353 and downing the Warriors in convincing fashion 25-15.
• Unfortunately, WLC had a comeback in them. The Warriors took advantage in a uptick of MSOE errors and won the next two sets with scores of 25-21 and 25-23.
• Things came down to the final tiebreaking set for the second straight match for MSOE, but luck would not be on their side once again. They would hold a 10-8 lead late in the frame but the Warriors went on to win six of the contests last nine points to take home the victory 15-13 and 3-2.

RAIDER REMARKS

• The Raiders loss brings their record against WLC over the last ten games to 3-7.
• Amanda Yackley is now securely in fourth place all time with 2,080 career assists and has an outside chance of cracking the top three with the remaining contests this weekend.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will wrap up their 2022 season with a trip back to Tosa for the WLC Warrior Invitational. The two day, three match event will begin on Friday night when the Red & White take on Coe at 7:00 pm.
