MILWAUKEE – Making up a dual set two weeks prior, MSOE wrestling competed in their first singular one-on-one battle since the calendar flipped over to 2023. Unfortunately, Aurora University showed much dominance throughout the match and cruised past the Raiders on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Spartans would grab points early from two consecutive forfeits to go up 12-0. Aurora would then grab two quick falls to double their lead to 24-0.
• MSOE finally got on the board thanks to an AU vacancy before Michael Smith would get the Raiders their first true win of the night with a fall in the second period.
• Aurora picked things back up by taking the next two decisions, with the Raiders picking up another forfeit going into the final match of the night. The Spartans would wrap up the evening with a major decision, taking the duel 37-18.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will be back on the mats Saturday when they take the short trip up to Concordia-Wisconsin for the CCIW Duels at 9 AM.
