Box Score RACINE, Wis. – MSOE men's tennis returned to play for the first time since September to officially kick off their 2023 season. While they Raiders were ready to go, they ran into stiff competition in an seven match loss to UW-Eau Claire on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (2-3) got swept in doubles action to begin the day but there were some good battles throughout. The teams of Daniel Lukasek/Joe Chong and Miguel Lopez/Clark Rue each fought hard but lost via 8-4 scores.
- Lukasek continued his strong play and put on a gritty performance to win the Raiders lone match of the day in the top singles spot. Him and his counterpart split the first two sets before the sophomore won the tiebreaker 10-6.
WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will take another stab at win number one of 2023 when they take on Carthage in a road match on Saturday, February 4th. Match time from Racine, Wis. is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
