ROCK ISLAND, Ill.. – The MSOE men's wrestling team fought in a tightly contested affair against the Vikings of Augustana College. The Raiders started off strong, winning two of three matches to open the meet, but stumbled down the stretch and went on to fall 30-18.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (0-2, 0-2 CCIW) and Augustana (1-0, 1-0 CCIW) each were looking to secure their first victory of the young season. Alex Morales won his 133-pound matchup via major decision (13-0) to open the scoring for the Raiders and give them their first lead of the day at 4-3.
- Max Sanderfoot followed up Morales impressive performance with one of his own, securing a pin in the first round of the 141-pound matchup and giving the Raiders a 10-3 lead after three matches.
- Following major decision victories from Michael Smith and Caleb Brick, the Raiders found themselves tied with the Vikings at 19 apiece but would go on to lose the final two rounds by fall.
