Leesburg, Fla. – MSOE softball clashed in another doubleheader on Friday, falling to the Bison of Nichols College, before besting the Green Terror of McDaniel College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vs Nichols College
- The Raiders bats got MSOE on the board in a hurry, as the Raiders' Faith Matta and Jayda Nelson singled, while Celine Pacheco drew a walk to load the bases out of the gate. Jocelyn Clodi singled to center field with two outs to bring the first run across and give the Raiders a 1-0 lead over the Bison after the first inning.
- In her season debut, freshmen Finnley Olsen pitched three scoreless innings before surrendering two unearned runs in the fourth inning after the Bison capitalized on a fielding error by the Raiders. The Raiders would tie the game up in the fifth after Alyssa Jacobson got on base with a single and Jenna Trewyn delivered a double to right center, bringing Jacobson home and knotting the game up at 2-2.
- The Bison would score eight runs in the top of the sixth, registering six hits while the Raiders committed two untimely errors to give Nichols a big lead coming down the homestretch, as the Raiders fell 11-3.
- Vs McDaniel College
- The Raiders looked to bounce back against the Green Terror after a disappointing loss to the Bison. After two scoreless innings, the Raiders got on the board first after Jacobson and Trewyn got on base, with Nelson singling to left to bring Jacobson home. After Carlee Emery reached first on a bunt single to load the bases, Clodi singled to bring in another run before a bases load walk to Caroline Fouras gave the Raiders a 3-0 lead. The Raiders would bring one more run across on a fielders choice to increase their lead to 4-0 after three innings.
- MSOE freshmen Katie Pollock had another strong outing, pitching a complete game while only surrendering one run to the Green Terror. After a rough outing against Nichols, the Raiders were rock solid in the field, committing no errors on the way to a 5-1 victory.

The Raiders wrap up their Florida trip with one last doubleheader on March 16
th against Farmingdale State College and Middlebury College. The games begin at 10:00AM and 3:00PM (EST) in Clermont, Fla.
