HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tyler Gronert was apart of keeping things quiet as through four innings, he struck out eight, including striking out the side in the third. MSOE (26-13, 19-5 NACC) were the first to attack the scoreboard after Blake Hall singled to start the inning and then advanced to third on a single from Sam Meidenbauer. Micah Overley grounded into a double play to the second baseman but still brought Hall in to score as the Raiders took a 1-0 lead.
- Concordia Wisconsin (19-21, 12-12 NACC) got out of a bases load jam in the fifth inning but that wasn't the case in the sixth. After back-to-back singles from Hall and Meidenbauer and Overley drawing a walk, Chris Barnes blasted one into the deep left center to clear the bases for a 4-0 game. The bases were loaded once again with Kyle Labedz and Christian Bosque drawing walks a wild pitch from the Falcons brought Barnes as the down pour continued. A walk from Jack Kalitowski loaded the bases once again and Brandon Beauchamp delivered with a two-run single to make the score 7-0. The Raiders continued to create bases loaded situations when Overley stepped in, shooting one into right center to clear the bases they created a run-rule situation with a 10-0 lead. Gronert delivered in the top of the seventh, forcing all the hits to Beauchamp to finish off the Falcons.
