MILWAUKEE– The MSOE men's lacrosse team returned to Viets Field for a contest against the Spartans of Aurora University, as the Raiders were unable to keep pace with the Spartans high-octane attack.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (3-4, 1-1 NACC) managed to get the leg-up on the Spartans (2-5, 2-0 NACC) as Case Roberts recorded the first goal of the game at the 11:06 mark of the first quarter. The Spartans would respond a mere 90 seconds later to knot the game up, and at the end of the first quarter, Aurora would have a 2-1 lead. The Spartans dominated in the second quarter, scoring six unanswered goals in the second frame, leading 8-1 at the halftime break.
- After the Spartans extended their lead to 11-1, Luke Neal found Dawson Smith for the second Raider goal of the day, right before the midway point of the third quarter. The Raiders would add goals from both Cole Karst and Graden Jansen but the Aurora offense never slowed down, as MSOE would go on to lose to the conference's preseason favorites by a final score of 16-4.
