HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lewis & Clark (7-2, 0-0 NWC) made a statement early, three goals before the 12-minute mark. After adding in two more, Ninmann got MSOE (0-6, 0-0 NACC) on the board after getting the feed from Vayda Flower. The Pioneers added one more in the period to lead 6-1.
- After a slow start to begin the second, the Pioneers scored with under six minutes left in the first half. Lilly Johnson added to the scoring for the Raiders after Anika Einbeck fed her in the middle, but the Pioneers scored twice quickly to grow their lead 9-2 at the break.
- Ninmann added her second goal of the day late in the period after the Pioneers added six to begin the third. The Pioneers cleared away from there, halting the rest of the Raiders scoring and adding five more to their total.
