GLENDALE, Wis. – The MSOE baseball team welcomed in University of Wisconsin-Platteville for a three-game series with game one beginning today. After the Raiders took the lead in the fourth inning, the Pioneers made an offensive explosion in the top of the sixth to hand the Raiders their first loss of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wisconsin-Platteville (2-2, 0-0 WIAC) came out of the gates putting in two runs in the top of the first for the early lead. In the bottom half of the inning, Kyle Mayberry tested the Pioneers catcher by stealing second to allow Christian Bosque to come and steal home for MSOE (2-1, 0-0 NACC) to put their first run on the board to make it 2-1 after one inning of play.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Camden Hoier led the inning with a walk and two batters later Jack Shepski doubled into right field to put two men in scoring position. Jordan Skolmar stepped to the plate and dropped a blooper into left field both around to score to give the Raiders a 3-2 lead.
- The Pioneers exploded offensively in the top of the sixth, putting up a five spot to take a 7-3 lead. The Raiders couldn't manage to produce a hit through the remaining four innings, leaving two stranded, to come up short.

The Raiders will close out the weekend series tomorrow, March 9
th, with the Pioneers at MSOE Raiders Stadium. Game one is set for 12:00 P.M. with game two to follow at 3:30 P.M.
