Oshkosh Titans – 6
MSOE RAIDERS – 8

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Game One
- The Raiders (0-2) and Titans (8-0) were scoreless through two as Katie Pollock began right where she left off last season, picking up two strikeouts in her first two innings of work. The Titans would take a 1-0 lead in the third after taking advantage of a throwing error by the Raiders.
- In the top of the fourth, Jayda Nelson drew and walk before a Carlee Emery single put runners on the corners with MSOE trailing by just one run. The Red and White would strike out on back-to-back plate appearances to shutdown the Raider rally before it could get going. In the bottom of the sixth, the Titans would spark a rally of their own, building their lead to 6-0 heading into the top of the sixth. MSOE would be unable to generate any hard contact, as the Raiders were shutout in the first game of the afternoon.
- Game Two
- The Raiders got on the board first in the second matchup, as Emma Smith opened the game with a bunt single and after a single from Nelson the Red and White manufactured their first run of the season to take the 1-0 lead. In the second inning, the Titans would bully the Raiders freshman pitching, building a whopping 10-1 leading heading into the third.
- MSOE would chip away at the Titans lead in the top of the third, as Caroline Fouras was able to come across on a fielder's choice play and Nelson recorded another RBI single to cut the Raider deficit to seven runs. Despite Oshkosh tacking on another run in the bottom of the inning, the Raiders came out in the fourth guns blazing, as a walk from Addie Kortman kicked off a five-run Raider rally, capped off by a single up the middle from Emery to score both Autumn Sadler and Reese Konczal. Despite the push from the Raiders to get right back into things, the Titans would explode for six more runs, and after going 1-2-3 in the fifth inning, MSOE fell to UW-Oshkosh 17-8.
