Men's Lax Locks Up Seventh Straight Win

MILWAUKEE – The MSOE men's lacrosse team secured their sixth win in a row as the Raiders dominated the Lawrence University Vikings from bell-to-bell, posting a 17-4 victory for the Red and White.

RESULT
Lawrence University - 4
MSOE RAIDERS - 17

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • MSOE (9-5, 7-2 NACC) would build a 5-0 lead over the Vikings (3-11, 1-8 NACC) by the end of the first quarter, as the Raiders set the tone early, outshooting Lawrence 18-2 in the first quarter of play.  Tom Farren and Soren Savard would each add their second goals of the game in the second quarter, as Carson Harris and the MSOE defense shutout the Vikings in the first half as MSOE led 8-0 at the halftime break.
  • In the second half, Farren would secure a hat trick at the 11:05 mark of the third quarter, followed up by a goal from Cade Reiter less than two minutes later, putting MSOE ahead double digits as they led 10-0 midway through the quarter.  The Vikings would end the hopes of a shutout for the Red and White with just under five minutes to play in the third, but MSOE showed no signs of slowing down as Sean Logan got in on the scoring to start the fourth quarter, as the Raiders began to rotate goalies in the blowout win.  Cole Karst would put a bow on the Raiders win as he scored the final MSOE goal unassisted, as the Red and White secured their seventh conference win of the season by a final score of 17-4.
