HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Game One
    • MSOE (16-20, 12-8 NACC) wasted little time as they took advantage of an early error from SNC (9-29, 8-14 NACC) as the Raiders went up 2-0 after the first inning of play.  Alyssa Jacobson came around on a fielder's choice in the top of the third to up the Red and White's lead to 3-0, as the Green Knights got on the board in the bottom of the inning, with MSOE holding a 3-2 lead.
    • A solo homer from Jacobson would push the MSOE lead to 4-2 in the top of the sixth, with an RBI single from Caroline Fouras upping the lead to 5-2.  The Green Knights would add a solo homerun of their own in the bottom of the sixth, but Katie Pollock was lights out the rest of the way as she retired the Green Knights in order in the bottom of the seventh, with MSOE taking game one 6-3.
  • Game Two
    • In game two Autumn Sadler crushed a lead-off homerun to start the game off with a bang for the Red and White, with the Raiders increasing their lead to 2-0 on a single from Jayda Nelson that allowed Jenna O'Donnell to score.  The Green Knights would tie the game up in the bottom of the inning on a two-run homer, with the teams deadlocked at 2-2 after one inning.
    • The Raiders would add runs in the top of the second and fourth innings, but every time MSOE wrangled a lead, SNC was right there to tie the game up in the bottom of the frame.  The Green Knights would take their first lead of the game in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI double, giving St. Norbert a 5-4 advantage.
    • In the top of the seventh, Fouras led off the inning, reaching on an error by the Green Knights.  Olivia Beals would lay down a sacrifice bunt to advance Fouras, before a single from Addie Kortman and another error from the Green Knights allowed MSOE to tie the game up at 2-2.  Kortman would come around to score on a fielders choice and yet another error from SNC, as MSOE hung on to secure the 6-5 comeback lead.
