Raiders Drop Matchup to Spartans

MONTGOMERY, Ill. – The MSOE women's lacrosse team traveled down to Aurora University Thursday afternoon. The Raiders hung in the mix late into the third before the Spartans put a tear on the scoreboard late.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • For the second straight game, MSOE (1-8, 1-2 NACC) struck first under three minutes in when Ashlyn Bode took one herself before Aurora (6-5, 3-0 NACC) scored three straight after that. Chloe Ninmann added her first of the game with minutes remaining in the first to cut it to one 3-2. The Spartans went on a 4-0 run during in the second quarter to lead 7-2 at the break.
  • After the Spartans opening the second half with a goal of their own, the Raiders went on a run scoring three straight with Joce Katte and Ninmann twice to make it 8-5. The Spartans stepped up from there and didn't allow the Raiders in the back of the net once, closing the game on a 10-goal run.
