MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – The MSOE men's lacrosse team posted their third straight win as they bested Cornell College, holding the Rams to just three goals on Saturday night in Mount Vernon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders (6-5, 4-2 NACC) took a 1-0 lead over the Rams (4-7, 1-5 NACC) just nineteen seconds into the game as Jack Civottolo found Soren Savard to open the scoring. After a response from the Rams two minutes later, Luke Neal would regain the lead for the Raiders at the 8:24 mark of the first quarter. Savard would add his second goal of the game less than two minutes later, before completing the hat trick just 27 seconds into the second quarter thanks to an assist from Dawson Smith. Savard would add one more goal at the 4:02 mark of the second quarter, as the Raiders went to the break up 5-2.
- In the second half, each team would record just a single goal in the third quarter, as Smith found the back of the net just 39 seconds out of the halftime break. Up 6-3 heading to the fourth quarter, the Raiders would keep the Rams off the scoreboard and after a goal from Carter Stahl and two from Tom Farren, the Raiders secured their fourth conference win of the season by a final score of 9-3.
