MONTGOMERY, Ill. – The MSOE softball team clashed with No. 1 Concordia Wisconsin in the double elimination stage of the NACC Tournament, as the Raiders were no-hit by the Falcons and will face elimination the rest of the way after the shutout loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• vs CUW
  • No. 5 MSOE (21-22, 15-9 NACC) and No. 1 CUW (29-10, 19-5 NACC) were scoreless through the first frame, as the Falcons took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning on a sacrifice fly.  After the Raiders were retired in order the first time around the lineup, Autumn Sadler reached on an error in her second at-bat but she would be the lone baserunner for the Red and White in the inning.  MSOE would trail Concordia Wisconsin 2-0 after four innings of play as the Falcons increased their lead on an RBI double to the left center gap.
  • The Raiders would see Katie Pollock reach on a Falcon error in the fifth, but she would prove to be the last baserunner for the Raiders on the afternoon as the Raiders were no-hit by CUW in a 7-0 shutout loss.  The Raiders will look to regain their postseason momentum tomorrow, as the Raiders season will be on the line the rest of the way through the NACC Tournament.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders are now in a win-or-go-home scenario, and will face the loser of No. 3 Benedictine and No. 2 Dominican tomorrow in an elimination game at 11:00 A.M. in Aurora, Illinois.
