MILWAUKEE – The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and ATEC have announced the 2025 regional coaches of the year as first-year head coach
Adrian Santiago has been named Region VIII coach of the year.
Santiago helped lead the Raiders to their winningest season in program history, going 29-18 and 18-6 in conference play. Winning the regular season title for the second season in a row, the Raiders went through the conference tournament with a breeze, defeating Marian in the opening game 4-3 and then defeating Edgewood in back-to-back games 10-6 and 10-0 for their second conference championship in four years.
In the NCAA regional, the Raiders dropped the opening game to top seed Webster before winning the program's first NCAA regional game against Rhodes 4-3, and then defeated the Gorlocks later that day 4-3 to advance to the regional final for the first time, falling to Belhaven 7-4.
The Raiders had a record high nine all-conference players, along with Santiago and staff earning coaching staff of the year. Santiago also brought an aggressive brand of baseball on the base paths, leading Division III in stolen bases with 205, including a 21 stolen base performance as a team against North Park on April 21
st.
