HOLLAND, Mich. – The MSOE men's soccer team completed their time on the other side of Lake Michigan shutting out Hope College, a squad that's receiving votes in the national poll.
RESULT
MSOE RAIDERS – 1
RV Hope - 0
HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (2-0-0, 0-0-0 NACC) didn't waste time as after Asher Harris made his first save of the night, they sent the ball down the right sideline to let Nico Picha streak down for a shot just over the Hope (1-1-0, 0-0-0 MIAA) goalkeeper's head to get on the board quick. The Flying Dutchmen began to start firing off shots, taking eight in the first half but only three made its way on goal with easy saves for Harris as the Raiders went into the break with the 1-0 lead.
- The Flying Dutchmen had a heavy presence on offense in the second half, outshooting the Raiders 11-1, but only two of their shots made it on goal. Harris continued to keep the scoreboard clean saving both of those shots for a perfect night to seal it.
