HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rockford (1-5, 0-0 NACC) didn't make things easy for MSOE (2-9, 0-0 NACC) as after a pair of three points leads, they took a 13-11 lead at the midway point. Back-to-back kills from Katie Taticek tied up the set at 20, followed by a kill from Ashley Murphy to take the lead. After the Regents tied it once again at 22, Taticek added two more kills to take the set 25-22.
- The serving of Nina De La Cruz was on full display in the second set as she recorded three service aces to build the lead as large as 21-9. The Regents put up a fight to make the score 23-17 but back-to-back errors cost them as the Raiders took the second set 25-17.
- After going back and forth to begin the third set, a kill from Gillian McDaniel sprung them into the lead and they didn't look back. A 6-0 run capped by a kill from Madalynn Skwarek to put the Red & White ahead 21-13 and while the Regents made a late push to go to a fourth set, Skwarek added another kill to end it 25-20.
