GLENDALE, Wis. – MSOE baseball opened up NACC North play this afternoon, hosting a twin bill with Wisconsin Lutheran. The Raiders bats were alive and well, outscoring WLC 24-7 on their way to two victories on Sunday at MSOE Raiders Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (5-7, 2-0 NACC North) scored early and often in game one against Wisconsin Lutheran (5-14, 0-2 NACC North), putting up a crooked number in each one of their turns at the plate. The Raiders scored two in the first and one in the second before really putting the hammer down in the third. The Red & White plated six runs in that inning, highlighted by two singles and a Nick Stricker RBI double. Tyler Gronert was dominate on the mound once again, striking out eight en route to his first win of the season.

The second contest of the afternoon actually saw the Warriors jump out to a four-run lead before the Raiders started their comeback. MSOE cut the deficit down to one with a three run third and blew the game open in the fourth when they scored five behind a Josh Beier two run triple. WLC cut the MSOE lead down to three with a run in the fifth but the Red & White bullpen shut the door on any further attempts to get back into the game. Joseph Teschke evened up his record at 2-2 as he picked up the win with two innings of one run ball.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders and Warriors will square off once again tomorrow afternoon. Game one of the road doubleheader is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm in Wauwatosa.
