Raiders and Falcons Split For Second Straight Day

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

MEQUON, Wis. – MSOE baseball was back at it against Concordia Wisconsin on Sunday, just 24 hours after two games that went down to the wire against the Falcons at MSOE Raiders Stadium. Things followed the same pattern when play moved to Mequon as the Red & White was able to grab the game one win before falling in the second contest of the day.

RESULTS
Game One
MSOE RAIDERS – 7
Concorida Wisconsin – 3

Game Two
MSOE RAIDERS – 3
Concordia Wisconsin – 4

HOW IT HAPPENED
A big inning powered MSOE (10-12, 7-5 NACC North) to victory in the first game on Sunday afternoon. Three RBI singles and an error plated five Raider runs in the fourth inning and a Chris Barnes sacrifice fly and Black Hall single allowed the Red & White to add two more to their total in the fifth. Concordia Wisconsin (15-12, 6-6 NACC North) tried to get back into the game with three of their own in the bottom half of the middle frame but that would be all that the MSOE pitching would allow. Mason LeBreck went six strong innings and Cole Raines picked up the save with three innings of effective relief in the 7-2 win.

Game two followed Saturday's pattern of games going down to the final few outs. MSOE once again scored in the fourth with three runs coming across thanks to singles from Blake Hall and Justin Bickman. However, the Falcons would tie things with a trio of runs in the sixth. The game would remain deadlocked until the bottom of the ninth when CUW drew a walk with the bases loaded to win the game 4-3.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders have four games with the Sabres of Marian next up on the docket. The series will start with two road games on Saturday, May 1st at Noon in Fond du Lac, Wis.
