MEQUON, Wis. – MSOE baseball started their journey in the NACC north division tournament when they took on Concordia Wisconsin at Kapco Field. Unfortunately, the trip got off to a bumpy start as the Falcons dealt the Raiders a 4-2 loss on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
No. 2 seed MSOE (16-15, 13-7 NACC North) got off to a good start in the tournament opener, scoring a run in the bottom of the first inning off a Nick Stricker RBI double. The offense disappeared after that, however. No. 3 seed Concordia Wisconsin took advantage of this and scored three in the fourth and one in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead. The Raiders still had some fight in them though and pulled within two when Micah Overley sent a single up the middle and scored Josh Beier. The Red & White had a chance to score more in their half of the ninth and possible walk it off, but they stranded the bases loaded as the Falcons gave them their first loss in the double elimination tournament by the score of 4-2.

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will now play in the first game on Saturday, needing a win to stay alive in the playoffs. Their opponent will be the loser of the Marian/Lakeland game which is still taking place as of this writing and will start at 10:00 am in Mequon.
