Box Score AUBURNDALE, Fla. – MSOE baseball closed out their spring break trip on Friday with an early morning contest against St. Mary's (Minn.). A big first inning helped the Raiders set the table for the rest of the game as they came back home owners of a 5-4 victory against the Cardinals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- MSOE (3-5) set the tone early in their game against St. Mary's (3-2) on Friday morning, scoring three in the bottom of the first. Blake Hall singled in the first run before Matthew Klement doubled to score the second. Nathan Kennedy then brought another in via a sacrifice fly to make it 3-0 Raiders.
- The Cardinals would start their comeback shortly after Klement made it 4-0 with the second Red & White sac fly of the day and scored three runs during their at bats in the sixth and seventh frames.
- Micah Overley singled to make it 5-3 Raiders, an RBI that proved to be the game winner. SMC tried to make things interesting by drawing within one in the top of the ninth, but Joseph Teschke shut them down for his first save of the season in the Raiders 5-4 victory. Tyler Gronert went 6.2 with seven strikeouts to grab the win.
RAIDER REMARKS
- Friday marked the first time that the Raiders have come away with a win against the Cardinals. The first nine contests, all of which have been on neutral fields, had gone to St. Mary's (Minn.).

WHO'S ON DECK
The Raiders will travel back to Milwaukee before heading on the road next weekend. They'll visit Terre Haute, Ind. on March 12-13th for games against Calvin and Rose-Hulman.
