MEQUON, Wis. – One win. That's all MSOE baseball needed in order to take home the 2022 NACC tournament crown and they had two chances in order to get it. It looked like the Raiders were going to need that second game, but a late inning comeback and a walk off shot sealed the deal for the Red & White on their first postseason tournament title of any kind in the sport.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• No. 3 MSOE (27-16, 18-6 NACC) came into their championship game with No. 5 Edgewood (24-21, 12-12 NACC) having won six straight but none of those victories would amount to what was about to unfold.
• The Eagles got their first run of the game in the top of the fourth with a double to right field and brought in another baserunner on a Raiders throwing error to go up 2-0.
• Both offenses were kept off the board for a few more innings before the Red & White started their late game heroics. A Blake Hall single to left brought in a pair to tie things up but MSOE couldn't plate another run in regulation.
• The Raiders retired Edgewood in order in the first half inning of free baseball and ended it in their next at-bats. Micah Overley singled through the right side to send Collin Truitt to the plate. The sophomore would then send one over the wall to give the Raiders the 4-2 win in ten innings.
• Luke Schraufnagel, Jeffery Stanish, and Tyler Gronert all combined for the win with Gronert getting his 11^th victory of the year.

RAIDER REMARKS

• Collin Truitt's walk off home run made history in a couple different way. Not only did it send the Raiders into the NCAA postseason for the first time, but it also broke the programs record for round trippers in a season with ten.
• Tyler Gronert needed two more strikeouts to tie the MSOE career record, but he decided to grab it all for himself. His three strikeouts gave him the new Red & White mark of 186.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

• Collin Truitt: 1-for-5, game winning home run, two RBIs
• Jeffery Stanish: 4.2 innings pitched, no runs or hits allowed, two strikeouts.

WHO'S ON DECK
