Box Score DAVENPORT, Fla. – A lineup that saw success from a handful of freshman, the MSOE baseball team defeated Moravian University behind a two-run third inning and held down by their defense.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first inning, AJ Le set up MSOE (3-1) to score as he started the second inning with a single. Nolan Wojciechowski moved him over to second on a sacrifice bunt as Cobey Alderden hit a single to second baseman that forced an error allowing Le to score. Chris Barnes two batters later hit a single into left field that brought Alderden around from second to score to make the lead 2-0. The scoring continued in the third inning with Wojciechowski hit a deep ball into right field for a sacrifice fly that brought Collin Truitt home extending the lead to 3-0.
- Moravain (3-3) finally got onto the board in the fifth inning from an RBI and a pass ball to cut their deficit 3-2. In the bottom of the seventh, Blake Hall singled into center field and stole second to set up Micah Overley as he singled through the right side to bring him around to score to add cushion to their lead. Cole Ninmann came in for the save in the top of the ninth to hold onto the lead and did just that going three-up three-down to complete the save.
