Box Score DAVENPORT, Fla. – After a rest day yesterday, the MSOE baseball couldn't stop a red hot offensive of University of Dubuque, letting a large deficit get the best of them.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a quick start for Dubuque (7-0) as they scored two runs to start in the first inning. MSOE (3-2) answered in the bottom of second inning with a double from Cobey Alderden to bring Kyle Labedz home to cut the deficit 2-1. The Spartans kept the scoring going in the next inning with three runs of their own before Labedz flew out to right field to bring Micah Overley to score, to be down 5-2.
- The Spartans completely opened their lead in the top of the seventh inning scoring four runs to make their lead 9-2. Overley chipped away in the bottom of the inning with a groundout that brought Jack Kalitowski home to add in a run. More insurance runs for the Spartans were added in the ninth adding two more to the score, as Overley involved himself in the scoring again in the bottom of inning bringing Kalitowski home again with a sacrifice fly. Ultimately, the deficit was too large as Dubuque finished out the inning to win 11-4.
RAIDER REMARKS
- This is the first time the Raiders and Spartans have met since the 2008 season when they split a doubleheader on the road in Dubuque.
