MILWAUKEE – It had been 25 innings since the Raiders had given up a run, as No. 14 MSOE pitching had thrown three straight shutouts. While Edgewood would score two in the first game of today's doubleheader, the Red & White staff went right back to their scoreless ways en route to sweeping the Eagles for their ninth and tenth straight wins.

HOW IT HAPPENED
MSOE (10-0, 0-0 NACC North) was put in an unfamiliar spot in game one against Edgewood (6-14, 1-3 NACC South). The Eagles would be the first to score a run, forcing the Raiders to play from behind. This issue was quickly remedied though as the Red & White plated two runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the 2-1 lead. The floodgates proceeded to open for the Raiders offense in their next at bats, scoring five runs which included a Lauren Stefanczyk bases clearing triple to put the game out of reach for the Eagles. Sarah Grossman went the distance for the win, giving up just two runs while striking out a career high eight batters.

The Raiders almost no-hit their opponents in game two, only giving up a lone single that barely got by Stefanczyk in the top of the sixth inning. Emily Wiederholt got her third win of the year with a four inning, six strikeout performance while the Red & White offense scored in every frame but the second on their way to their third eight run rule win of the campaign.

The Raiders will be back in action in less than 24 hours when they take on North Central (Ill.) tomorrow afternoon in Rosemont, Ill. Game one of the doubleheader is scheduled to start at 4:30 pm.
