MILWAUKEE – The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, were announced on Tuesday, as
Jayda Nelson was recognized as one of the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
Nelson led the Raiders from both the plate and the playing field, starting all 44 games at first base for MSOE this season, while posting a top ten batting average in the conference. The sophomore batted .401 while leading the team in hits (58) and RBIs (37) while playing stellar defense at first with a .979 fielding percentage.
The Raiders posted a record of 21-23 this season, with a 15-9 record in conference play. The Raiders earned the No. 5 seed in the 2025 NACC Tournament, advancing to the double elimination stage before being eliminated by No. 2 seed Dominican University.
