MILWAUKEE – AJ Springer has been named Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Co-Track Athlete of the Week with his performance at the indoor conference championship over the weekend.
Springer, a junior from Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, shared Men's Track Athlete of the Meet honors at the 2026 NACC Indoor Track and Field Championships after winning the 800-meter and mile runs. He won the mile run in 4:19.21, and broke his own championship record in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.28. Springer broke the record of 1:56.19 he set a year ago.
Springer, currently ranked 17
th in the 800-meter run, will toe the line one last time on Saturday, March 7
th at the Ripon Final Qualifier to lock up his spot at the NCAA Indoor National Championships next weekend in Birmingham, Alabama.
