Box Score MILWAUEE – MSOE men's soccer opened up their home slate against Dubuque fresh off a 3-1 win in their first game of the season against UW-Platteville on Wednesday night. The drive for victory number two was certainly present but the Red & White just couldn't quite get there in a 2-2 double overtime draw with the Spartans.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Each team brought their offensive attack in the first half as the two teams combined for 17 shots.
- MSOE (1-0-1) broke through for the first tally of the game when Freddy Comparato set up Lucas D'Amato at 17:32 to make it 1-0 Raiders.
- Dubuque (1-0-1) answered back with two quick goals of their own within a 43 second span to grab the one score advantage.
- D'Amato found the scoresheet again when he successfully converted on a penalty kick to knot up the ballgame at 2-2 in the 39th minute.
- Neither team would find the scoresheet again, although the Spartans had their chances. They outshot the Red & White 11-2 in the final 65 minutes of the game which ended after the second overtime period.
RAIDER REMARKS
- Lucas D'Amato now has three goals in two games to start the 2021 campaign.
- MSOE had quite the advantage in corner kicks, leading the Spartans 8-4 in that category.
- This afternoon's game was the first tie in the series history between the two teams. Each squad now holds three wins and one draw in seven contests.
