Box Score MILWAUKEE – Having already beat Marian by the score of 7-2 earlier this season, MSOE men's soccer was looking to repeat that performance. While they did not outscore the Sabres by five, they were still able to be one goal ahead at the end of 90 minutes as the Raiders win their sixth game of the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It was somewhat of a chippy contest between MSOE (6-1-0, 6-1-0 NACC North) and Marian (3-4-0, 3-4-0) on Sunday afternoon at Viets Field as five yellow cards were handed out throughout play. This did not affect the Raiders though who kept their composure when it mattered most. Lu Shi Peng Xiong got the Red & White on the board with a goal in the 27th minute to put MSOE up by one and that lead would last the rest of the first half. The Sabres were quick to respond in the second though, scoring just two and a half minutes into the frame to even the things up on the scoreboard at 1-1. The Raiders offense kept right at it however and finally broke through when Joey Schauer sent one of MSOE's 10 second half shots past the Marian keeper for the golden goal in the 62nd minute. The Raiders defense shut down the Sabres the rest of the way, allowing just three shots in the final 45 minutes for the 2-1 win.
