DUBUQUE, Iowa – MSOE made the trip across the state to take on the University of Dubuque in their third road match of the year. After a physical battle against Albion on Friday, the Raiders were still up to the task against the Spartans and recorded another win on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• MSOE (5-0) has played extremely well on both sides of the ball during their season opening four game winning streak and things were no different against Dubuque on the road.
• Neither team would find the scoresheet in the first half, and it wasn't until a pass from Daniel D'Amato which allowed Freddy Comparato to score at 59:32 that the stalemate would be broken. Already up 1-0, Lu Shi Peng Xiong buried a helper from Kilian Oelrich that gave the Raiders an insurance goal against the Spartans about 15-minutes later.
• The Red & White defense took care of business the rest of the way. Dubuque took 11 shots in total but only three wound up on net. Ethan Houseworth and Asher Harris combined for yet another shutout as MSOE put their fifth straight game in the win column with a 2-0 score.

RAIDER REMARKS

• The Raiders grabbed their first win over Dubuque since 2018 and are now 4-3-1 all time in a series that dates back to the 2014 season.
• Freddy Comparato has now scored the game winning goal in four straight contests.
